Our Story

Rooted in Heritage,
Driven by Purpose

Aram Sei Sports & Education Trust was born in 2019 from a simple but powerful belief — that education and cultural identity go hand in hand. We partnered with the Agathiyar Silambam School to create a space where children don't just learn, they grow.

From mastering the ancient martial art of Silambam to reading Tamil scripts over 2,000 years old, our students connect with their roots while building real futures. We sponsor their formal education, take them on historical journeys, and celebrate their community with our annual Silambam Festival.

Today, over 150 children are part of our family — and that number keeps growing.

Agathiyar Silambam School

The beating heart of Aram Sei. Agathiyar Silambam School is where 150+ children train in the ancient Tamil martial art of Silambam, learn their cultural roots, and build futures. Every session, trip, event, and initiative we run happens here — through this school, for these students, with this community.

Silambam Training & Tournaments

Students train rigorously in Silambam, the ancient Tamil martial art, and represent the school in inter-school and regional tournaments — building discipline, courage, and pride.

Tamil Ancient Scripts

A dedicated 15-day intensive session on Tamil ancient scripts — by the end, every student could read and write characters from one of the world's oldest living literary traditions. The board says it all.

Our students stood at the foot of the Brihadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur — one of the greatest architectural achievements of the Tamil people, over 1,000 years old. More than a field trip, it was a moment of pride: to see your ancestors' genius written in stone, and to know that greatness runs in your blood.

Sampooranam, our chief farmer, has been the beating heart of Aram Sei's organic farming initiative. Through her dedication and traditional knowledge, we successfully cultivated native seed varieties from scratch — growing them to 1ft through fully organic methods. A living proof that ancestral farming wisdom still roots us to who we are.
